Juventus Summer Tour to include Indonesia
Serie A Champion to Play at GBK Stadium on August 6
June 2014, Jakarta: Juventus Football Club, the most successful club in the history of Serie A, will be visiting Jakarta with their finest players on August 6 to play an Indonesian selection side at the 88,000-capacity Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
Known to football fans as “Juve”, the Turin-based club have secured the prestigious Scudetto thirty-two times in addition to two Champions League titles. In the 2013/14 season, Juventus won Serie A by breaking a league record with 102 points. The Bianconeri will bring their best side, which includes Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente, Gianluigi Buffon and midfield maestro Andrea Pirlo. Other top players involved in this summer’s World Cup will also link up with the squad for the match.

The match is set to kick off at 20:00WIB and will be broadcast live nation-wide by MNCTV, part of the MNC Group, the largest and integrated media in South-East Asia. The match in Indonesia will be promoted by Nine Sport, a sports promoter based in Jakarta who specializes in football events and sponsorships. Indonesia will be the first country in Juventus’ Asia Tour. The club will also play a match in Australia on August 10 and in Singapore on August 16. A press conference to announce the club’s activities and ticket sales will be held at the Shangri La Hotel on Wednesday, June 25.
